Cincinnati The Jewish Hospital presents Doc, why does my shoulder hurt? a free informational seminar open to the public.
The seminar is part of the hospitals Dessert with the Doctor series and takes place on Wednesday, May 12, 6:00 7:00 p.m. at The Jewish Hospital in Kenwood, 4777 E. Galbraith Road, in conference rooms A/B. Registration is required for attendance, please call 686-4040 to reserve a spot.
Attendees will learn about the causes of shoulder injury and options to relieve pain and increase range of motion.
The seminar is led Michelle Andrews, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center, specializing in sports medicine, knee, and shoulder orthopedic problems. She completed her surgical internship and her orthopedic surgery residency at Yale University.
Dr. Andrews has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at national orthopedic meetings and conferences. She has participated in national panels for the U.S. Olympic Special Committee and the Institute for International Sports. Dr. Andrews has the distinction of being the first-ever female orthopedic surgeon to be a team physician for a major league baseball team.
